Shaken Baby Prevention, Inc. "Jewels & Jeans: A Ladiesí Night Out (with a few brave men)" Slated for Saturday, October 14 at The Waterford at Fair Oaks
Manassas, VA ó This yearís 2nd annual Jewels & Jeans Ladiesí Night Out (with a few brave men) dinner, dance, and auction will be held Saturday October 14 at The Waterford at Fair Oaks. The event is sponsored by Shaken Baby Prevention, Inc. and raises money to provide services to families who cannot afford durable goods for their handicapped child, therapy services, scholarships, and literature to help prevent Shaken Baby Syndrome. The Master of Ceremonies will be Charley Taylor, former wide receiver with the Washington Redskins and Hall of Famer, along with the Hogettes. More than 100 business men and women are expected to attend this yearís affair.

Shaken Baby Prevention, Inc. was founded by Catherine Sanders who is a mother of a shaken baby survivor. Sandersí son, Ryan Mac Sanders, was shaken two months after his birth by his childcare provider and now suffers from cerebral palsy, visual impairment and mental retardation. The company is a non-profit corporation in the Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. areas that promotes awareness of the often little-known dangers of shaking a baby out of anger and frustration. The corporation also acts as a charity to assist families with children who have all types of special needs and provides services such as supplying disabled children with medical equipment.
"I think itís a wonderful thing sheís doing. I think itís got potential to benefit a lot of people all across the United States," said John.
